I’m going to try posting here every day for the next month, and see what happens. Even when I think I have nothing to say — today, for example — I’m still going to suit up and show up.
Today, and for the next few days, I am working on my dissertation proposal. I figure I’ll give myself the rest of today and tomorrow to keep reading and taking notes, getting my thoughts in order. Then, come Tuesday, I’ll start writing. My first draft is due Friday morning.
Maybe it doesn’t have to be stressful. Maybe it doesn’t have to be so hard. After all, this is just a first draft. Maybe I can play with it. Maybe I can enjoy the process.
After all, I’m already in a spirit of experimentation.
Hey Kat, best of luck with your experiment! It sounds like a great exercise in discipline and just seeing what happens when you make daily space.
Good luck with the dissertation proposal!

Thanks, Melissa! Blogs like yours inspire me to stretch and to play, to just be wherever I am, and to share it, and trust that someone may be thankful, as I am for writers like you.
Good Fortune on the dissertation! 🙂
Wanted to tell you also how much I love your comment on Havi’s blog today about Enoughness. Beautiful.
Thank you, Birdy! That means a lot to me. 🙂
